A special concert of Beatles music to raise funds for the Save the Children charity.
‘Let ‘Em In’ has been organised in response to the current refugee crisis by a group of tribute bands and fans. The event starts at midday on Sunday 11 October 2015 in the world-famous Cavern Club, and will go on until midnight.
Tickets can be bought on the door for £10, or by making a donation at www.justgiving.com/beatlesaid and bringing a receipt to the event. There’ll also be raffles throughout the day, including the chance to win a Hofner bass guitar.
The event takes place at the end of a weekend when Liverpool will be marking what would have been John Lennon’s 75th birthday.
All proceeds will go to Save The Children, which is working across Europe and in the countries children are fleeing to provide aid and support.
Refugee children are frightened, homeless and many have witnessed unspeakable horrors. 7,600 children have arrived alone in Italy since January, without any parents or families at all.
